The Rupert-Neudeck Comprehensive School from Tönisvorst and the KICK Group from Willich will cooperate in various fields in the future. This was decided by headmaster Andreas Kaiser and KICK managing director Holger Krebs. For both, the cooperation is obvious - after all, it is an "exciting story" in many respects.

The school is pleased to have gained an important sponsor who supports the projects on social engagement and intercultural learning in particular. "It is immensely important for the development of our students that we as a school offer additional learning and experiential opportunities," says headmaster Andreas Kaiser. "And we are glad that we have good partners on our side for this." The Ghana project, in which a small school delegation visits a friendly vocational school in the West African country for a fortnight, naturally stands out somewhat. "But I am also very impressed by all the other projects from this programme," describes KICK Managing Director Holger Krebs. "The young people are gaining experiences and lessons for life that will certainly take them further than many a school subject," the entrepreneur comments with a smile.

For the KICK Group, the "exciting story" of the cooperation already delivered results before it was even established. Because a trainee in the first year of her apprenticeship, who is studying mechanical engineering parallel to her training as a technical product designer, joined the KICK Group directly after graduating from the Rupert-Neudeck-Gesamtschule. "We are of course pleased when we can win over young people from our region," says Holger Krebs. He finds it self-evident that the group of companies is involved, whether at the school or as with the major sports club SC St. Tönis. "We are rooted in the region and want to fulfil our social responsibility.

For Holger Krebs, the cooperation also has a personal touch; after all, he and his younger son Lukas were taught in these premises themselves. "For me, this school was an important, valuable cornerstone. That's how it should be for the next generations as well.
