In its own energy turnaround, the KICK Group has now completed the next major task. The solar power that has been generated on the company's own roofs for years is now also available for e-mobility. With two e-charging columns with a total of four charging points, the KICK Group already supplies its own fleet and also neighboring vehicles with green electricity.

"The energy turnaround must not only take place in ministries or in the media," says Mirko Krebs, managing director of the mechanical engineering company C-Technik, which is part of the KICK Group. "Climate change and the energy transition concern us all, and that's where we're making our contribution with the photovoltaic system and now also with the charging columns."

As long as it is light, the rooftop system delivers electricity directly to the charging stations. At night or during bad weather, the electricity for the charging stations comes from the grid provider. The employees even fill up at a discounted rate. Charging is possible via all standard networks (Enbw, etc.) or ad hoc simply by using a credit card and a QR code.

This project was funded and supported by the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and the electrical and building services company Thürlings, which was also involved in the photovoltaic system.

Well then: have a clean trip!
